2013 Dodge Viper: The Viper has
been absent from Dodge’s lineup since 2010, but the big story at the
2012 New York Auto show is the announcement of the 2013 Dodge Viper.
Dodge is reintroducing an all new Viper for 2013 that will be available
in two models, SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS. This new generation Viper is
equipped with a stiffer chassis structure that provides 50 percent more
torsional rigidity.
Overall,
this new Viper is a big improvement over the last generation car. The
engine powering the 2013 Dodge Viper is a hand assembled all aluminum
8.4L V10 with a maximum rpm of 6,200 rpm. This engine produces 640
horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque The transmission used is the Tremec
TR6060 six-speed manual that has closer gear ratios than the previous
models.
