2011 Mini WRC

World Rally Championship 2011 will see the new MINI WRC challenge in six of the 13 scheduled rounds, with competitors from MINI in the entire 2012 season. Also, Prodrive plans to make versions available for customer equipment for independent use in the championship.

MINI MINI Countryman is the youngest and also the first model equipped with all-wheel drive system. Thus, this model provided a rationale for a derivative competitive rally. Flagship Countryman MINI Cooper S is powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol, which has been completed, but a twin-scroll turbocharger and direct injection, but also valve control fullyvariable – provides the so far the best balance between engine power and fuel consumption in its class. The motor produces an impressive 135 kW / 184 hp and accelerates the MINI Cooper S Countryman 0-100 km / h in 7.6 seconds.
